Burritt Cemetery

The Burritt Cemetery is on the West side of Baldwin Road in Hinesburg and contains about 90 graves. Rows are displayed here from East to West and stones are listed from South to North. The data for this table was recorded at the cemetery by Jean Miner and kept in the Hinesburg Town Hall vault. It was transcribed by John and Susan Roberts. Of the cemetery, Jean wrote:

Andrew Burritt was the only one of the 64 original Proprietors who came to Hinesburg and lived on the land he was granted. His homestead was the last house on Baldwin Road before the the intersection of Drinkwater Road. [I] Don't know if the original house still stands.
